Thesis: The American embassy has become anachronistic in the face of modernizing weaponry and insurgent techniques. Today's embassy is costly to build and maintain, closes in times of threat, and is criticized by the popular press as being Medieval. As the battle techniques of the 21st century focus on malleability, so must the embassy of the next century.
